Are science and art completely separate parts of society? Or can they inform one another and provide new insights?
A panel of artists and scientists tell their stories of how dialogue and interaction between the arts and sciences can lead to important new developments.
These artists and scientists span a diverse range of artistic practices and scientific disciplines, and they have all collaborated in Art-Science Residencies at CULTURE AT WORK. They give us insight into how their interaction has influenced their work, lessons they have learned about science and collaboration, as well as a look into the role of art in science and science education.
From the front line of art-science collaboration, this forum explains why adding Art to Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) is something to get STEAMed up about!
2019 marks 10 years of Culture at Work, bringing art and science together through cutting-edge collaborations. This event also celebrates the contribution of art to the STEAM children’s activities created at Culture at Work, including our new children’s STEAM Maker Space.
