ARTcycle Inc., is an artist run cycling initiative.
We promote art and artist-friendly cycling activities including tours, interactive, cross-discipline and hybrid arts practices.
We are based in Sydney, Australia. We promote human powered social change.

Rides & events

We lead bicycle tours to places of cultural and environmental significance. Ride leaders are trained by and are members of Bicycle New South Wales, the peak body for commuter and recreational cycling in New South Wales. These are fun and immersive social events that promote understanding, break down barriers, build confidence and build audience.

Background

Formed in 2010 as outreach between MASSBUG, BIKESydney and At The Vanishing Point Contemporary Gallery (ATVP), ARTcycle was conceived as an social ecology informed social practise to promote active transport and zero emission mobility. ARTcycle became an incorporated association in 2011 and operates as an interest based Bicycle User Group (BUG) affiliated with Bicycle New South Wales.
